Creative Direction

Target: Gen Z in Korea

  • Warm:
Gen Z was born into the digital age, yet they are curious about analog life. With '90s fashion and retro objects trending in Korea, I thought they might want to experience the warmth of the past.

  • Poetic:
In this age of information overload, our team ideated creating a new messenger app to convey a message as short and impactful as a poem, through a sticker. I wanted to find a way to express something simple, yet heartfelt.

Main graphic style for sticker messages

The concept for the stickers is based on everyday objects we encounter in daily life. Each message is naturally embedded in these familiar items, encouraging people to take their time and notice it gradually rather than at first glance. I referenced the Studio Ghibli animation style, which evokes an analog feeling, but applied Y2K colours.

Main Sticker design

On the app: Unlike other messaging platforms, Stickerge displays only one received sticker message on the screen at a time

Additional Styles

As a sticker-based messenger, we needed more than one style, so I developed 2 additional styles for the default stickers.

Special message: ‘Moment’

Users can send a ‘Moment’ message that lasts only for 30 seconds. The receiver should respond this message within 30 seconds by simply tapping it. If the receiver respond, ‘Success’ screen pops up and if not, the sad image pops up.
